A lot of people today are going through real suffering in their life and marriages because of the use of their tongue. Other people brought upon themselves untold hardship through the wrong use of their tongue. Many of the children of Israel were not able to make it to the promise land, because of the wrong use of their tongue. The wife of David who was the daughter of Saul the first king in Israel became barren all her life because of the misuse of her tongue. And so many others in the bible who lost a lot in their life because of misuse of the tongue. We need to beware the way we use our tongue. CONVERSION AND GOOD USE OF THE TONGUE, Mt.12:33-37. It is genuine conversion that brings a change both in our character and the way we use our tongue. After conversion there is need for you to consecrate your tongue to the altar and bring it under control through the grace of God. Also apart from conversion we need to go to the Lord and be really sanctified and our heart made pure and holy. A holy heart will make a wholesome tongue. COUNSEL FOR PROPER USE OF THE TONGUE, Col.4:6. Pro.15:1. The Lord is giving to every one of us the counsel to how we need to use our tongue. We are to use our tongue: (1) To bless God.
