Pro.23:20, 31, 32. Be not among winebibbers. Look not thou upon the wine when is red, when it giveth his color in the cup- At last it biteth like a serpent and stingeth like an adder. Did you hear the news from one of the world reputable media the other day that Alcoholic related disease killed more people last year than AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria put together killed? Did read the world healthorganization WHO report that Alcohol cause 2.5 million deaths every year. And yet alcoholic beverage companies are turning in billions of dollars blood money in profit. While millions of youths, men and women are perishing every day, O Lord have mercy. I charge you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to repent and Jesus will set you free. Children of God rise up and preach the saving gospel as never before, as the devil is determined more than ever before to destroy a lot of people and take them to hellfire. The devil has decided billions of people telling them that drinking alcohol is for pleasure and enjoyment. There is no enjoyment in alcohol consumption but destruction and deterioration of your health. Some of you have tried without success to break the habit of drinking alcohol or smoking. All you need to do is to come by faith to Jesus, He will set you totally free, He did it for me and I know and believe He will do it for you too. John.8:32, 36. And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. And if the son of man Jesus Christ shall set you free, ye shall be free indeed. 

JESUS SHALL REIGN WHERE’ER THE SUN: Rev.11:15. And the seventh angel sounded and there were great voices in heaven, saying the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever. Daniel.7:13-14, 18. I saw in the night visions and behold one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven and came to the Ancient of days and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all people, nations and languages should serve him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. But the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever and even forever and ever. 2Timothy.2:12. “We shall also reign with Him”. HALLELUJAH ONE OF THESE DAYS THE KINGDOMS OF THIS WORLD SHALL BECOME THE KINGDOMS OF OUR LORD AND HE SHALL REIGN AND WE SHALL REIGN WITH HIM FOREVER AND EVER. 

CHRIST’S PRAYER FOR THE UNITY OF THE CHURCH: John.17:9, 14-23. John chapter 17 contains Christ high priesthood prayer for His church. Among the prayer points He prayed for are. (1) The preservation of the church (the redeemed) from the evil. (2) For the sanctification of the church. (3) For the unity of the church. (4) For the church to be with Him where He is. (5) For the church to share in His glory etc. and today I am concentrating on the prayer for the unity of the church. Vs.17-23. the kind of unity that Christ prayed for here is far difference from the type of unity you find in the world. Gen.11:1-4. The kind of unity you find in the world is unity in sin and against the will of God but the type of unity He prayed for is unity in the will and the word of God. In the world you will find (1) selfish unity. (2) Sectional unity. (3) Seasonal unity. (4) Shameful and cultic Unity. (5) Superficial unity. (6) Sinful unity. (7) Satanic unity. This is not the unity that Christ prayed for. John.17:21-23. The question is what type of unity did He prayed (1) sincere unity. (2) Scriptural unity. (3) Spiritual unity. (4) Supportive unity. (5) Strengthening unity. (6) Sanctifying unity. (7) Supernatural unity. These types of unity cannot be possible except the people are genuinely saved and sanctified. John.17:17. Ps.133:1-3. A sinner and a saint cannot be in unity. A serpent and a lamb cannot be united. Amos.3:3. Two cannot walk together except they be agreed. ARE YOU IN UNITY, ONE HEART WITH OTHERS IN THE CHURCH? 

LIVING BY THE LAW OF KINDNESS: Pro.3:27-28. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbor go and come again, and tomorrow I will give, when thou hast it by thee. Do all the good you can, to all the people you can as long as you can. Live and operate by the law of kindness. Mt.7:12. Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them. DO ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN, IN ALL THE WAYS YOU CAN, IN ALL THE PLACES YOU CAN, AT ALL THE TIMES YOU CAN, TO ALL THE PEOPLE YOU CAN, AS LONG AS EVER YOU CAN. LIVING WITHOUT THE FEAR OF DEMONS, WITCHES, WIZARDS AND ENEMIES: 2Timothy.1:7; Acts.18:9-11; Isaiah.41:10-15; Isaiah.43:1-7. One of the greatest weapons the devil uses against men and women is fear. Fear removes your confidence and faith in God and focuses your attention on the power of your so called enemy. Fear makes you to forsake all and run like Elijah. It makes you to be in perpetual bondage. Ps.53:5. Some people fear where there is no reason to fear. Fear makes you to have high blood pressure; it disturbs your peace and mind. Sometimes it causes sleepless night. What do people fear? They fear enemies, they fear what they called spiritual husband, they fear witches and wizards, they fear wicked men and women, they fear occultist powers and many other things but the Lord is telling us today and the rest of our lives on earth fear not. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. 1John.4:4. CONFIDENCE IN GOD WITHOUT FEAR: Isaiah.51:7, 11-13; Isaiah.54:15-17; John.10:27-29. True believers who fear are ignorant and have shifted their focus from God. Confidence in God will remove fear from our heart. We must not fear because of our position in Christ, the presence of God with us, the promises of God which are yea and amen make us not to fear. When you are giving to fear you will never be able to manifest faith in God, because fear and faith cannot dwell together in the same heart that is why the Lord is telling us fear not. Don’t live with the fear of the enemy but live with faith in God. 

ENDURING DECISION TO CLEAVE UNTO THE LORD Acts.11:22-23 Then the tidings these things came unto the ears of the church which were in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad and exhort them all, that with purpose of heart, they would cleave unto the Lord. The exhortation and the command to cleave unto the Lord are all over the bible both in the old and the new testaments. The Lord does not want us to just have a loose relationship with Him, but close and intimate relationship. He wants us to have an enduring and perpetual relationship that is He wants us to cleave and to glue unto Him. The call to cleave unto the Lord comes to both old and new converts. All true children of God are expected to cleave unto Him in love and loyalty. To cleave unto the Lord implies. (1) To keep and obey all the commandments of the Lord as we have been taught. (2) To be dead to the opinions of men and stand on the unchanging word of God. (3) To supremely love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, spirit and mind. (4) It means to hate the world, worldliness and all things that God hates and to deny ourselves. (5) To walk in all the revealed will of God and to obey His voice in everything. (6) To obey and do God’s will and word even when it runs contrary to common sense, wisdom, popular opinions and prevalent practices. (7) To separate ourselves from false prophets and false ways and to follow the path of truth and holiness. We must be willing and ready to cleave unto the Lord till the end. We see a lot of challenging examples of men and women who clave unto the Lord despite the danger and threat to their lives. We see the example of Joshua and Caleb even when all the other spies were on the other side of unbelief and backsliding they cleaved unto the Lord in faith. We have the example of three Hebrew children Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego even when Nebuchadnezzar threaten to throw them into the fire they did not shake but kept on cleaving unto the Lord. Also we saw the example of Ruth even when Orpah her sister in-law went back she continued cleaving to the Lord. John.6:66-69. When the multitudes of Christ’s disciples went back from following Him the twelve remained. These and many more examples challenge us to cleave unto the Lord whatever betides. Under rain or sun shine, wind or storm whatever is happening cleave unto the Lord. It is in doing this that we will get to heaven at the end. Daniel.3:13-25. The Lord wants us to make up our mind and to have an enduring decision to cleave unto the Him. The bible says who shall separate us from the love of Chris? Shall tribulation, or distress or persecution, or famine or nakedness or perils or sword? – Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. As we cleave unto the Lord our God by the grace of God we shall be more than conquerors. And when we get to heaven there are great and marvelous blessings that await all who will cleave unto the Lord till the end. Rom.8:35-39. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress or persecution, or nakedness, or peril or sword? As it is written for thy sake we are killed all the daylong: we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rev.3:11. Behold I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast that no man take thy crown. MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO CLEAVE UNTO THE LORD YOUR GOD UNTIL THE END. 

BIBLICAL RULES AND PREPARATION FOR CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE: Gen.2:18. And the Lord God said it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him. Because marriage is God’s idea not men, God therefore has given us some biblical rules that are to govern Christian marriage as we can see in the word of God. We must note that Christian marriage is far different from worldly marriage as light is different from darkness. Therefore to follow worldly pattern and practice in Christian marriage will spell doom and disaster. This is the reason for high divorce cases in many churches. Let us consider some of these scriptural rules that must be observed in Christian marriage. (1) Gen.2:18. We must allow God to make the choice for us of whom to marriage. The Lord God said I will make him a help meet for him. God only knows who is suitable and compatible to you therefore seek the face of God in sincere prayer. (2) Gen.2:19-20. Marriage is not between a man and an animal. (3) Marriage is not between a boy and a girl, but between a man and a woman. (Matured man and matured woman) Gen.2:21-24. (4) Gen.2:21-24. Marriage is not between a man and another man or a woman and another woman but a man and a woman. 1Cor.7:2. Homosexuality and lesbianism is evil, satanic and ungodly. (4) A Christian marriage is between a believing converted man and a believing converted woman no unequal yoke. A converted Christian must not marry an unconverted sinner no matter the church the unconverted sinner attends. 2Cor.6:14-18; Dt.7:1-4. (5) Divorce and remarriage not allowed in the Christian marriage. Mal.2:14-16; Mk.10:11-12; (6) Monogamy is the scriptural approved standard not polygamy. Mt.19:6; Gen. 2:24; Eph.5:33. (7) Marriage must not be between next of kin or close relation. Lev.18:6-18. (8) No immorality before marriage and never employ carnal method. Heb.13:4; Jer.10:23; Ezekiel.14:1-2. What preparation do you need to make before you can get into Christian marriage? (1) Get genuine salvation. John.3:3-7. (2) Sincerely seek guidance from God through prayer. Ps.32:8; John.10:27; Isaiah.42:16-20. (3) Be willing to follow the perfect will of God. Ps.143:10; John.6:38; (4) Seek pastoral counseling and follow scriptural rules. Pro.15:22. (5) Seek parental consent Gen.24:15-29. (6) Submit to Christian courtship, Christian courtship is period of planning for the future not a time of immorality or any form of evil practice. Pro.24:27. (7) Settle the bride price after courtship before wedding. Gen.34:12. (8) Service public notice for wedding 1Peter.2:14-14. (9) Solemnize the marriage through Christian wedding. John.2:1-11. (10) Make Jesus Christ the chief guest and governor of your marriage. Luke.24:29. “They constrained Him saying abide with us”. John.15:4-6. Without Him your marriage will not be happy one and will not really succeed. 

MY REDEEMER LIVETH: Job.19:25-27. For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And though after my shin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God. Whom I shall for myself and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. There is nothing to fear, there is nothing to worry about because our redeemer liveth. Because He lives we shall live and be victorious. HALLELUIAH!! PRAISE THE LORD. YOUR REDEEMER LIVETH. AND YOU WILL NEVER COME TO SHAME IN JESUS NAME. AMEN. 

BELIEVER’S AUTHORITY AND DOMINION IN CHRIST: Col.2:6-10. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him. Rooted and built up in Him and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principalities and power. Luke.10:19. Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the powers of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. The believer’s authority and dominion is in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour. When a sinner realizes his or her sinfulness, repents and confess them to the Lord and ask for forgiveness and accepts Christ into his or her heart by faith as Lord and Saviour his or her sins are forgiven and he becomes a new creation old things passes away and all things becomes new in his life. Such a person is given the power of son-ship. John.1:12. He receives power, authority and dominion. When we talk of authority and dominion what does it means? It is a delegated power and right to act on behalf of another person, while dominion is authority to be in control and in-charge. So then the authority and dominion of the believers is from above from the Lord Himself. He has given us the power to act on His behalf and to be in control in this world. He said whatever ye shall bind on earth will be bond in heaven and whatever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Mt.18:18-19. We can manifest this authority and dominion over Satan, sickness, diseases, negative situations, nature etc. Rom.8:31, 37. What shall we say to these things? If God be for us who can be against us? Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors. The believer’s authority and dominion is effective as long as he abides and remains in Christ. John.15:4-7. The Lord said without me ye can do nothing. Rom.16:20. And the very God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. 

HAVE FAITH IN GOD: Mark.11:22. AND JESUS ANSWERING SAITH UNTO THEM HAVE FAITH IN GOD. This is very important instruction and command from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Have faith in God. We live in a world filled with a lot of challenges, wickedness, evil and evil spirits. A world filled with problems that are beyond human and scientific solutions. It is only faith in God that can get you outof such problems and challenges of life. The scientist, the physiologist, the philosopher, environmentalist, the technologist and the medical people do not have answer to majority of man’s problems, be it environmental, spiritual, physical, mental and marital problems. It is only God that has absolute solution to all the problems of man. The Lord said LOOK UNTO ME AND BE YE SAVED, ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH FOR I AM GOD AND THERE IS NONE ELSE. Isaiah.45:22. IT IS BETTER TO TRUST IN GOD THAN TO PUT CONFIDENCE IN MAN. Ps.118:8-9. Man will disappoint you, but God will never disappoint you. BLESSED IS THE MAN THAT TRUSTETH IN THE LORD, WHOSE HOPE THE LORD IS. Jeremiah.17:5-8. It is absolute faith in God that can lift a man out of the valley to the mountain of freedom and liberty. Whatever your situation in life have faith in God and it will be well unto you and to your soul. Through faith in God your sins can be forgiving us and you will be made a new creature. Eph.2:8-9. With faith in God you can be healed and be made whole. Mt.15:5-13. With faith in God all things will be possible unto you. Mk.9:23. HAVE FAITH IN GOD AND ALL WILL BE WELL WITH YOU.
