Rom.12:1-2; 1Thess.5:22-24. There is no Christianity without complete consecration. Neither can you as a believer get sanctified with it. You must totally lay all on the altar of consecration before the sanctifying fire can come upon your heart like it happened to Isaiah. Christianity without complete consecration is empty religion without substance. Mk.10:17-28. Jesus said unto this young rich man one thing thou lackest and the one thing is complete consecration. Vs.21-28. this young man on hearing the demand for complete consecration grew annoyed and turned away in anger to his own way and the Lord said that those who lack this complete consecration will not get into the kingdom of God. But thank God what the young rich man found difficult to do Peter and the other disciples have done. Complete consecration is not difficult once there is willingness. Abraham did it, Paul the Apostle, Moses and other in the bible did it we can do it today. Gen22:1-18; Philip.3:7-10. Heb.11:24-27. EXHORTATION TO COMPLETE CONSECRATION: Luke.14:25-27; Rom.12:1-2; Pro.23:26; 1Cor.6:19-20; 2Cor.6:14-18; Rom.8:35-39; Ruth.1:16-19; John.6:60, 66-69. Complete consecration involves self crucifixion, self denial, self sacrificing, self discipline, selfless devotion and self surrender. Anyone who is looking for personal gain cannot be completely consecrated. Complete consecration means we give everything to the Lord laying everything on the altar of sacrifice. Everything includes (1) Our will. (2) Our ways. (3) Our words. (4) Our worth. (5) Our wealth. (6) Our wisdom. (7) Our worries and cares. We yield everything unreserved unto the Lord. Philip.3:7-8. EXPERIENCING GENUINE SANCTIFICATION: Dt.30:6; Eph.5:25-27; Heb.10:10,14; Hebrews.13:12-13,20-21; Ezekiel.36:25-26; Hosea.10:12; Mt.5:6,8; John.9,14-17. Sanctification is the second work of grace in the life of one who is genuinely born again. Salvation leads to forgiveness of sin and new creature in the life of the penitent sinner. After salvation then he comes back to the Lord for the removal of the Adamic nature from the heart of the believer. Sanctification makes us to possess the very nature of God which we lost in Adam. Without sanctification the bible said no man shall see God. Christ died on the cross of Calvary to provide sanctification for the believers. When it happens there are clear evidences that are seen in the life of the sanctified. EVIDENCE OF GENUINE SANCTIFICATION John.17:17-23; Acts.2:1; Philip.1:21. 1Thess.5:23-24. The evidences of genuine and entire sanctification are (1) Inward and outward freedom. (2) Supreme love for God and His word and His will. (3) Oneness with all true believers. (4) Inner rest and perfect peace. (5) Integrity and Innocence. (6) Pure love and pure motive. (7) Un-pretended faithfulness and trustworthiness. (8) God’s honoring ambition. (9) Freedom from selfishness and self will.
